Junior and Senior Conservatories

a group of actors singingIn our commitment to cultivating the next generation of versatile performers, we are thrilled to announce auditions for the inaugural Junior and Senior Conservatories!

Our audition-based ensembles are designed as conservatory style programs, perfect for dedicated performers ready to elevate their stagecraft. This comprehensive curriculum will sharpen student’s abilities both on stage and behind the scenes. Each term will focus on a different aspect of performing. Students accepted to the program will be asked to commit to two of the three terms (but can register for all three as well!).

Our aim is not just to enhance skills, but to foster well-rounded artists who understand and value teamwork, resilience, and the infectious energy of a passionate community of peers. The Senior and Junior Conservatory Ensembles will work closely throughout the year, creating the opportunity for mentorship and support between these different age groups.

The Terms

Fall: Dancing, Singing & Musical Theater Auditions

We’ve got everything from Broadway beats to contemporary rhythms, and vocal training that covers every note on the scale! Our accomplished choreographers and music director will work intimately with you to polish your technique, broaden your range. You will leave this semester with two contrasting 32 bar cuts for your upcoming auditions! This term will culminate in a cabaret style performance featuring both conservatory ensembles.

Winter: Improvisation & Devised Theater

Improv is an essential tool in every performer’s kit. Nurture your quick thinking, creativity, and confidence. Plus, learn how to create your own piece of theater with an ensemble focus through devised theatre techniques like Viewpoints, Laban, and Lecoq. This term students will have the chance to stretch their artistic muscles beyond the role of actor – learning to create, design and perform a piece of theatre from the ground floor. This term will culminate in a double feature improv and devised theater performance for families and friends.

Spring: Acting, Directing & Auditioning

Learn to engage audiences, delve into diverse roles, and narrate captivating stories under the mentorship of seasoned professionals. Plus, we’ll provide tips and skills to ace auditions, leaving a memorable impression and securing those sought-after roles. For our Senior ensemble, you’ll gain a director’s perspective, bringing your creative vision to the forefront. This term will culminate in a night of one acts performed by the Junior ensemble and directed by the Senior ensemble.
